The Multimedia Archives

LoneWolf's Lair has historically been the home of the Multimedia Archives, the Internet's largest collection of digital video files. Before AdCritic (both the original and the new AdCritic) there was the Multimedia Archives. Currently, there are about 14 GBs worth of zipped videos (some 4,400+ videos) in the archives. Unfortunately, the Multimedia Archives are currently offline. Plans are under way though (as of early 2003) to bring them back online.

While the archives are offline, and the videos are not available for download, I am taking requests for videos by email. The links below point to a (somewhat outdated) list of the videos contained in the archives. Feel free to request any of the videos in the list and I'll do my best to get them to you. When sending a request, please follow these rules:

  1. Include the words "VIDEO REQUEST:" at the start of the email message subject (ex: "VIDEO REQUEST: Bud Light Commercials"). My SPAM filters a somewhat agressive and oftentimes trash valid email messages. This subject will ensure that I get your request.
  2. Include the filename(s) of the video(s) you want along with the description. Do not just tell me you want the Evil Beaver Miller commercial. Along with that, specify the "evil.zip" filename.
  3. Include (at the least) your first name. It's the polite thing to do and I tend to use your name as the directory from which you'll be able to download your requested video(s).
  4. Be patient. I accept these requests out of the kindness of my heart and not for money. This is all done in my (very limited) free time and there's very little that annoys me as much as multiple emails, 5 minutes apart, asking why I haven't responded to the request yet. In general, I'll get to your request within 1-2 days.

The comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html FAQ

A frequent visitor of the comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html newsgroup, myself, and about ten others, began the process of writing a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Although the process ultimately fell through, below are the questions that I had answered and submitted for approval. I hope to answer more such questions as time permits:

Dynamic Web Tricks

Oftentimes, a question is asked in the comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html and/or comp.lang.javascript newsgroups that is best answered by example rather then a description of how it's done. Listed below are some of the examples that I've "thrown together" in answer to some of these problems having to do with modifying a webpage dynamically. Included are some Cold Fusion, JavaScript, HTML, and JAVA tricks that are a result of my curiosity as well as an (outdated) HTML FORMs tutorial that I presented in early 1996:

Graphics

As a college student I minored in the digital arts. My primary interests were digital video production (surprise surprise) and computer aided images/art. Below are listed some samples of those interests:
