What is hard disk space?

The computer's hard disk is the device used to store information in the form of files. A website is typically made up of numerous files, some containing HTML, some containing images, and others containing many other types of information such as audio, video, etc.

All SightSpecific hosted websites have at least 20 MBs of hard disk space allocated for its sole use. This is roughly equivalent to fifteen 3¼" floppy disks worth of storage space. To put it in another light, the entire SightSpecific website can fit onto two floppy disks.

Should more hard drive space be required, it may be purchased in advance, or paid for after the fact for a slightly higher fee. Please see the price list on the previous page for the exact costs.
